About this blog...
This blog began on a whim in September of 2011, quite simply, because I was bored. My husband was gone on a temporary work assignment, summer TV was nothing but reruns, and my baby (who's not so little anymore) was in bed by 7:00 every night. With nothing better to do in the evenings, I began experimenting with crafts and teaching myself to sew. The blog was a way to showcase my learning process with two extremely talented mother-in-laws.

My husband completed his work assignment and is now home for good, but I continue to blog. I blog, because, over the months, this hobby has become so much more than just a way to pass the time...

It's a platform to connect with others from all over the world. 

It's a way to forge long-distance friendships.

It's a tool for scrapbooking my parenting journey. 

It's a way to feel capable. (Because who doesn't like comments?)

But most importantly, I blog because it's fun. Its an unexpected hobby that I really enjoy. (Unexpected, because I never knew such an online community existed. Until last fall, I had never even seen a single craft/DIY blog.) 

About me....
Once a sonographer, I'm now a SAHM. I absolutely cherish this opportunity to stay at home with my little girl. I know its not for everyone, but its a perfect fit for me. Being a stay at home mom is the first "job" I've ever been truly passionate about.

I believe in Jesus. We belong to the Lutheran church. The Apostles Creed summarizes my religious beliefs in three simple paragraphs. Explore this site {click here} for more information.

Because I blog for fun, my posting schedule - and even topic of posts - is somewhat random. But in general, I try to write once or twice a week. My favorite topics are budget crafts, attempts at DIY, real life parties, and an occasional miscellaneous post.
